Your task for this week will be to gather items for a time capsule for the 2019-2020 school year. Watch the video above as Arthur and his friends create a time capsule so that you will have a clue of what you will need to do. Once you have watched the video you will need to gather some items for your time capsule, I have listed some ideas below. You can enter as many items as you like. Get your family involved, ask everyone in the house to add one item to your time capsule. Writing assignment You will write your name, grade, and date on your writing. In your time capsule letter, explain why each item going into your time capsule is important to you or to a family member. Also include information about school closing in March due to the corona-virus and how you feel about having to end school early and learn from home. Lastly, look for a plastic or glass container with a lid for your time capsule, it can even be a zip-lock bag. Work on these activities so you will be ready for the last step next week. Have fun! Lastly- You will create a map of were you are going to bury your time capsule. It can be a drawing and on the back of your drawing explain where you are burring your time capsule. You need to make sure your explain where to find your time capsule on the back of your map because in a few years your map may not make since and you don't want your time capsule lost forever. Make sure you bury your time capsule in your yard or near were you live so no one digs it up by accident. Then have fun burring it, ask an adult for help if you need it. When you are done, make sure you put your map in a safe place. You can dig your time capsule up in about 5 years to enjoy your old treasures! Have fun!
